The original museum was set up in the cramped circular base of the 32m OTC dish in 1989. Now, in 2012, the Shire and local citizens have acquired the OTC administrative and logistics buildings and plan to set up a more extensive museum facility to tell the full story of Carnarvon’s two stations and their distinct roles in space and communications.
